An Excursion to the Mountain Crater Lake Wonchi

Day 01: Arrival Addis Ababa
Up on arrival at Bole international airport and met by your representatives and transfer to hotel. After check in to hotel, you will have a city tour of Addis. It includes; the newly opened Unity, Entoto/ Mount panoramic view point at the highest peak in Addis with an altitude of 3200 meter above sea level and Sheger parks, National Museum which is the home of the famous complete hominid fossil remain of Lucy dates 3.2 million years back,Trinity Cathedral, a beautiful church with a baroque style of European architecture unique to both Ethiopia and Africa, Ethnographic Museum and Merkato (the largest open air market in Africa). Overnight in your hotel
Day 2. Ambo/ Wonchi
After breakfast drive to Ambo (also called Hagere – Hiwot) is 125 kms. West of Addis. The road passes through Gefersa,which is the Addis Ababa water supply reservoir, and fertile farmland.
Ambo is a weekend resort for swimmers and hikers. The main attractions of this area are, Wonchi Crater Lake, Guder River Falls and the Vineyard.
After lunch drive up to enjoy the view around the lake with rich vegetation and a wide variety of bird species. Late afternoon, drive back to Addis. Evening farewell traditional dinner in one of the best restaurant in Addis followed by folkloric dance of different Ethiopian nations. Then transfer in to airport to fly back home, end of the tour.
